Loyalty Programs That Work in the Spa
Loyalty programs are a great way to show appreciation, gain new clients, and increase retention. So we wanted to share some of our favorite ways to create and implement loyalty programs.
Automated Point System
If you use a platform like Square, you likely have an automated loyalty program already built, which makes things easier. The hard part will be deciding what type of incentives you want to offer your clients.
- Point system: Clients essentially accrue points for each dollar spent. For example: for every $10 spent, they receive 1 point. Next, you will want to give your points monetary value. SWo for example, 1 point = $1. In this scenario, for every $10 spent, the client earns essentially 10% or $1 back. The great thing about a point system is that it’s totally customizable, and you can create one that works for your business. How the client redeems the points is completely up to you! Some common ways include: Points can be spent on retail, Points can be redeemed at their next appointment. They can save their points, and receive a free treatment.
Punch cards are easy and efficient. The perks of punch cards is it’s a tangible card that represents your business. The downside of punch cards is that it’s not automated, so if it’s lost there’s no way to track it.
Some ways to utilize punch cards:
- 10% off after 5th appointment
- Free brow wax after 4th appointment
- 11th lash fill free
You may have noticed on some e-commerce sites that they offer a percentage off when signing up for a subscription. This is a great way to incentive your clients to continue purchasing their favorite products from you. If you can offer automatic shipping, even better!
Loyalty programs are not only fun for your clients but it shows you appreciate them. It’s a great way to add value to your business, while incentivizing your services.
